One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Tamatea could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. driver couldn't keep Junak to trotting so they were disqualified.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Presenetiti sprinted to the front.




Checkmate Jazzy took the lead after 1000m. Tamatea didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Checkmate Jazzy today. It continued in the lead. Junak galloped way to long and was disqualified.
