The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Sodankylä this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Intelligent Scout sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.

There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 40 m. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Composez Mon Numéro who started to galop and lost 50 m.

Tempting Starshine was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Unknown galloped way to long and was disqualified. Pizzazlize Dazzayamoz was disturbed and galoped 30 m.

Composez Mon Numéro was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Cross Stitch galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.

Gateau Chocolat didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
