The weather had been good all week and Kalmar was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Silverplate could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Sijbring saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




The leader got disturbed by something and Jeu De Guerre took the lead rather easily.




Jeu De Guerre was still in the lead after 1500m.



Hejduk suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Hejduk kept the speed the whole finish and won before Lapti-nek Moussolou and Silverplate.
