One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Opinion Publique found a gap and took the lead. Sagittarius followed before Gertrude Germann Zed. Blushing Maid quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Opinion Publique showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Blushing Maid clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Blushing Maid today.
