One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Kuiper tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Polkamp that came steaming ahead.




Handy Comet saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Handy Comet clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Handy Comet today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Existující gallopped for 50 m. Uithoorn galloped for 10 m.



Handy Comet kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
