One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Mercredi took the lead after a very quick start. wanted a little to much in the start and Unknown galoped for 30 m.
The leader couldn't hold the lead and
Max
Stone sprinted to the front. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 40 m.
Mercredi looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Dark Adam couldn't come out from behind the leader,
Max
Stone. Unknown suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 30 m.
Standings after 1500m . Lane one
Max
Stone followed by
Mercredi and
Supreme Victory. Lane two
Khashoggi´s Ship followed by
Dark Adam and
Kolbasz.
Max
Stone kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.
Supreme Victory was disturbed and gallopped for 10 m.
With only a little left of the race
Supreme Victory galoped for 10 m. driver couldn't keep
Supreme Victory to trotting so they were disqualified.
Max
Stone kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Per Oleg Midtfjeld tried a little too much on the homestretch and
Jack Attack started to galopp and lost 50 m.
Khashoggi´s Ship won.
Max
Stone came in second.
Mercredi caught third place.
