One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Tempting Starshine was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Rox The Place started to galop and lost 50 m. Sad Sergeant was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m.

The leader got disturbed by something and
Diggins took the lead rather easily.
Nothing seemed to be able to stop
Diggins today. It continued in the lead.
Diggins kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Royal Hero was disturbed and galopped for 50 m.
Howard won the race after a spectacular finish.
