It had been raining for several days at Rättvik but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Tender Blast could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Hoping Star quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Loving Red took the lead after 1000m. Tender Blast didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Loving Red followed by Tender Blast and Hoping Star. Lane two Hoping General followed by Whatever Moonlight and Jaako. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Jaako gallopped for 30 m.

Hoping General was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. Loving Red were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Loving Red didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
