The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Åby this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Carlos Thunderstrike could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Shy Band was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m.




Carlos Glasgow saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Shy Band looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Carlos Thunderstrike couldn't come out from behind the leader, Carlos Glasgow. Amazing Story was disturbed and galoped 50 m.




Carlos Glasgow was still in the lead after 1500m.



Shy Band was first on the homestretch followed by Carlos Thunderstrike and Carlos Glasgow.






Shy Band kept the speed the whole finish and won before Carlos Thunderstrike and Carlos Glasgow.
