One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Jean Baptiste sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Jean Baptiste was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m. This is the positions after 500m. Slum Lord, Seductive Cube, Wijckel, Jean Baptiste, Intelligent Tiger, , , . Slum Lord clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Slum Lord was still in the lead after 1500m. Slum Lord kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Jean Baptiste never caught up with Slum Lord who won. Wijckel came third. Results
