One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Headhunter could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Sammy saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Sammy clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Sammy followed by Panzanella and Headhunter. Lane two Big Muscle followed by Funkhousers Law and Strickly Business.



Sammy kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Sammy kept the speed the whole finish and won before Big Muscle and Headhunter.
