The sun was shining on Åmål today. A perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Hurricane Gilbert sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. When the startcar left the field Hurricane Gilbert started to galop and lost 50 m.




Paleoproterozoic saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Yola Oxzygo was disturbed and galoped 50 m.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Paleoproterozoic followed by Jolly On Fire and Carlos General. Lane two Talkie Talkie followed by Hurricane Gilbert and Handy Lizard. Deventer Opal started to gallop after 1500m and Magnus Jakobsson had to struggle to get it back in trotting.




Paleoproterozoic sat safely in the lead after 2000m. Jolly On Fire gallopped 10 m after 2000m.



Paleoproterozoic looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Hurricane Gilbert won the race after a spectacular finish.
