The sun was shining on Harstad and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Franz Jäger C.C. was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Franz Jäger C.C. started to galop and lost 50 m. When the startcar left the field Born Today started to galop and lost 30 m.

Sagittarius saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

The leader got disturbed by something and Born Today took the lead rather easily.

Born Today was still in the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Ginger Mambo gallopped for 30 m.

Born Today kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Edgy Needle sprinted over the finishline before Boy Back Home and Franz Jäger C.C..
