One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Cartoon Figure Fred took the lead after a very quick start. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m. Denver Bronco was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Portable Star, Giresse, Heavy Mind, Onside Traveller, Trendy Man, Cartoon Figure Fred, Denver Bronco, Wandering Love. Punching Sniper was disturbed and galoped 50 m.

Onside Traveller sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Unknown suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 10 m. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 30 m. Unknown galloped way to long and was disqualified. Denver Bronco was disturbed and galoped 40 m.

Heavy Mind saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Unknown started to gallop after 1500m and Unknown had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Onside Traveller suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Punching Sniper was disturbed and galopped for 50 m.

Onside Traveller didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
