One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Fairfax Law tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Illinois River that came steaming ahead.

Peace On Fire looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Illinois River couldn't come out from behind the leader, Outspoken Blizzard.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Outspoken Blizzard today. It continued in the lead. Peace On Fire started to gallop after 1500m and Geir Flåten had to struggle to get it back in trotting.



Outspoken Blizzard kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Illinois River made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Outspoken Blizzard.
