One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Herrhagens Leif could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Herrhagens Leif clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. New Jersey Devil was disturbed and galoped 20 m.




Saapunki looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.



Saapunki looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Herrhagens Leif galop. Herrhagens Leif lost 20 m.




Winner of todays race was Saapunki. New Jersey Devil came in second. Herrhagens Leif became third.
