One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Eightball was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Jermayne saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Sleepy Gal took the lead after 1000m. Opposing Heat didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Sleepy Gal followed by Eightball and Jermayne. Lane two Opposing Heat followed by Viridiflora and . Sleepy Gal were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line. Viridiflora galopped for 50 m on the homestretch. Opposing Heat sprinted over the finishline before Eightball and Sleepy Gal. Results
