It had been raining for several days at Romme but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Precious Saint could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Skipping Winter, Precious Saint, Sad Girl, Lonely Sky, Copieux, Flower Princess, Pogo, About To Strike.




Precious Saint looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Copieux couldn't come out from behind the leader, Skipping Winter.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Skipping Winter today. It continued in the lead.



With only a little left of the race Falling Hero galoped for 20 m. With only a little left of the race Falling Hero galoped for 10 m. Skipping Winter were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Falling Hero galopped for 20 m on the homestretch.




Precious Saint sprinted over the finishline before Copieux and Skipping Winter.
