One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Windstilte tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Oreste that came steaming ahead. When the startcar left the field Nostini started to galop and lost 30 m. Wondering Wave quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Van Der Weijden was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Wondering Wave was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Wondering Wave today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Windstilte gallopped for 10 m. Tournant started to gallop after 1500m and Stefan Persson had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Wondering Wave looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch. Van Der Weijden showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Oreste won the race after a spectacular finish. Results
