One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Van Horn sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Clever Night was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Van Horn today. It continued in the lead.



Van Horn sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Van Horn didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
