One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Counterfeit Winter was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Jorma Kontio wanted a little to much in the start and Nessla Raised Fist galoped for 50 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Suomalainen Puuma C.C., Ackerland Larockma, Sickan Superior, Nessla Raised Fist, De Bruyne The Man, Ojsan Förklädd Åsna, Counterfeit Winter, Guti Haz The Man.

Ojsan Förklädd Åsna took the lead after 1000m. Nessla Raised Fist didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Ojsan Förklädd Åsna followed by Guti Haz The Man and Jänkis Haaveilija. Lane two Nessla Raised Fist followed by Sickan Superior and Counterfeit Winter. Something caused a disturbance in the field and De Bruyne The Man gallopped for 30 m.

Sickan Superior litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Jänkis Haaveilija sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
