One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Drooling Bomb sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.

Josilyn quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Ir-reġina sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Confident Bandwith galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m. Drooling Bomb suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.

Ir-reġina was still in the lead after 1500m.

Ir-reġina didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.

Ir-reġina were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
