One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Brown Hero sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. When the startcar left the field Giggling Closet started to galop and lost 40 m. Holy Peach suddenly started to galop. Michel F Rothengatter had to struggle to get Holy Peach to tror again and succeded after 30 m.

Forest quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Fleshcrawl started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.
Polkamp sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
