One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were
Lightning Ball.
Amor Vista ended up behind the leader.
Dancefloor Saint got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. When the startcar left the field Gingerbreadman started to galop and lost 50 m. Amor Vista was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified.

Lightning Ball started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Gingerbreadman didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
Paradise Cooler galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m.
Paradise Cooler was still in the lead after 1500m.
Paradise Cooler sat safely in the lead after 2000m.
With only a little left of the race

Paradise Cooler sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
Delaney was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused

Famous In Vancouver lost 50 m.
Paradise Cooler didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
