It had been raining for several days at Lapua but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Nessla Ruffstuff could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Walk galloped for 60m and was disqualified.




Or Noir quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Or Noir clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Calming Sergeant saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Experienced Blast galloped for 30 m.



Calming Sergeant sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Snowy Band sprinted over the finishline before Nessla Ruffstuff and Calming Sergeant.
