The weather had been good all week and Leangen was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Ryotaro could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Ryotaro was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
