One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Jeannette could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Zambrotta Speed was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Għant sprinted to the front.

Zambrotta Speed sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Zambrotta Speed followed by Għant and Armbro Glamour. Lane two Maeglin followed by Jeannette and .

Zambrotta Speed looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Maeglin never caught up with Zambrotta Speed who won. Jeannette came third.
