One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Ven Prostor was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Kim Eriksson wanted a little to much in the start and Ven Prostor galoped for 20 m. Benny Belassi was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

Uptown Downtown saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Gabetti looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Drooling Blast couldn't come out from behind the leader, Uptown Downtown.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Uptown Downtown followed by Équation Moussolou and Snowy Piece. Lane two Laverne followed by Drooling Blast and Ven Prostor. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Benny Belassi gallopped for 40 m. Gabetti started to gallop after 1500m and Peter Ingves had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Uptown Downtown was still in the lead after 2000m. Gabetti was disturbed and gallopped for 40 m.

Uptown Downtown looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Équation Moussolou won the race after a spectacular finish.
