The weather had been good all week and Halmstad was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Piccinini sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Light Grove sprinted to the front.




Sunshine Oxzygo looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Piccinini couldn't come out from behind the leader, Light Grove.




Light Grove was still in the lead after 1500m.



Light Grove looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Light Grove kept the speed the whole finish and won before Sunshine Oxzygo and Long Et Maigre.
