One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Gonzo Fragrant. Grabben ended up behind the leader. Osterman got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.




Merckx saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Merckx was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Gonzo Fragrant accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Osterman gallopped for 40 m.



Gonzo Fragrant looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Grabben made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Gonzo Fragrant.
