One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Inkas Holy Macarony found a gap and took the lead. Strange Ways followed before Carmen Dalia.
Carmen Dalia quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.
No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
Strange Ways accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Inkas Holy Macarony galloped for 60m and was disqualified.
Virginia Opal speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.
Virginia Opal kept the speed the whole finish and won before Express Sound and Vampire.
