One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Jeannette tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Travelling News that came steaming ahead.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Finnen looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Zátopek couldn't come out from behind the leader, Travelling News. Ghislaine galloped way to long and was disqualified.



driver couldn't keep Jeannette to trotting so they were disqualified. Travelling News looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Louis-d'or couldn't come out from behind the leader, Finnen.






Finnen kept the speed the whole finish and won before Travelling News and Zátopek.
