One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Punching Boulder could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Punching Boulder was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead.




Robin Kronos took the lead after 1000m. Punching Boulder didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Robin Kronos followed by Punching Boulder and Cosmo Duff Gordon. Lane two Slow Plan followed by Prince Cash and Scandal.



Robin Kronos sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






No-one could catch Robin Kronos today who won before Slow Plan and Punching Boulder.
