One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Chanceux could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. Honus Wagner started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Chanceux was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Chanceux today. It continued in the lead.



Chanceux sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Act Of God never caught up with Chanceux who won. Honus Wagner came third.
