Only a humble breeze blew over Haapajärvi this day. The track where in perfect shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Godere Il Cavalcare sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Epoken Kent saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Epoken Kent was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Counterfeit Sapphire looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Flower Glitter couldn't come out from behind the leader, Epoken Kent. Epoken Kent was still in the lead after 1500m. Godere Il Cavalcare started to gallop after 1500m and Riku Salminen had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Epoken Kent kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Epoken Kent didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race. Results
