Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Eskilstuna track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Wooden Monster could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Appel suddenly started to galop. Ulf Ohlsson had to struggle to get Appel to tror again and succeded after 20 m.

Inkas Eurodancer saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Appel took the lead after 1000m. Moonlight Blossom didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Sourir was disturbed and galoped 30 m. Lying Velvet showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Appel followed by Wooden Monster and Inkas Eurodancer. Lane two Glittering Passion followed by Moonlight Blossom and Punching Stone. Sourir galloped for 40 m.

Wooden Monster was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. Sourir was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Appel looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

No-one could catch Appel today who won before Wooden Monster and Glittering Passion.
