One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Ticking Drama was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

This is the positions after 500m. Black Ship, Digitarian Riverbank, Loyal Mustache, Radiating Sunshine, Bol Rocker, Ticking Drama, Éclair Blanc, You Still Smile. Sleeping Pixie started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Black Ship clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Ticking Drama suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.

Bol Rocker accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Digitarian Riverbank gallopped for 10 m. Loving Wish started to gallop after 1500m and Jorma Kontio had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Digitarian Riverbank suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Éclair Blanc made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Loyal Mustache.
