The sun was shining on Romme and it was a perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Stopping Rock was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




This is the positions after 500m. Sonofmellwood Opal, Melissa C.C., Amuck Moussolou, Hard Night, Perfect Jive, You Tah Ameste, Ottawa Superior, Stopping Rock.




Sonofmellwood Opal was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




You Tah Ameste saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.



Perfect Jive litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Sonofmellwood Opal sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
