The weather had been good all week and Visby was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Glorious Star could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Speeding Pain quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Handy Missile who started to galop and lost 20 m.




Nessla Norman sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Handy Missile galoped after 1000m and lost 20 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Nessla Norman followed by Aletta and Beautiful Maid. Lane two Speeding Pain followed by Glorious Star and Handy Missile.



Handy Missile was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. With only a little left of the race Kvarngärdets Relay Star galoped for 40 m. Nessla Norman kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Speeding Pain won the race after a spectacular finish.
