One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Axel F. sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




Royal Dragon quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Polished Energy started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Bharata sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Jacobin was disturbed and galoped 50 m.




Axel F. looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Thai Massage started to gallop after 1500m and Åke Lindblom had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Athletic Vande Hynderweide gallopped for 10 m.



Axel F. were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Thai Massage was disturbed and galopped for 30 m.




Van Vleck never caught up with Axel F. who won. Diamond Victory came third.
