One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Fighting Work could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Go Stargazing Hill saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. The leader got disturbed by something and Competitive Ship took the lead rather easily. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Competitive Ship today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Fighting Work gallopped for 50 m. Competitive Ship kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Brisade won the race after a spectacular finish. Results
