One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
De Maury Cherry could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.
Carlos Ivette quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Jorkki who started to galop and lost 20 m.
Donlatts Cherry looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Paul couldn't come out from behind the leader, Carlos Ivette.
Paul saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Paul started to gallop after 1500m and Leif Witasp had to struggle to get it back in trotting.
Paul kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.
