One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Dedicación tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Portsmouth Superior that came steaming ahead. When the startcar left the field Caballer started to galop and lost 40 m.




Portsmouth Superior was in fine shape and held the lead. Moonlight Starshine started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Portsmouth Superior today. It continued in the lead.




Portsmouth Superior didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Nacido Magia was disturbed and gallopped for 30 m. Caballer gallopped 20 m after 2000m.



With only a little left of the race Quick Judge galoped for 30 m. Portsmouth Superior kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Portsmouth Superior kept the speed the whole finish and won before Dedicación and Thaïs.
