It had been raining for several days at Joensuu but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Perth took the lead after a very quick start. Perth was in fine shape and held the lead. Rap started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. Perth clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Perth today. It continued in the lead. Queen Kalla started to gallop after 1500m and Teemu Okkolin had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Queen Kalla put some pressure on the leader and could take over. Perth litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch. Queen Kalla sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy. Results
