The weather had been good all week and Åmål was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Honourable Plan was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. This is the positions after 500m. Stretching Blossom, Chapuis, Island Queen, No Fly Zone Hill, Honourable Plan, Floating Passion, , . Stretching Blossom clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. No Fly Zone Hill accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Chapuis suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead. Winner of todays race was Chapuis. No Fly Zone Hill came in second. Honourable Plan became third. Results
