The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Lahti today.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Growing Missile was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




This is the positions after 500m. Hoping Lion, Fierceful Boulder, Dreaming Platinum, Growing Missile, Blueface, , , . A bird flew just in front of Blueface who started to galop and lost 30 m.




Hoping Lion clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Hoping Lion was still in the lead after 1500m.



Dreaming Platinum was first on the homestretch followed by Hoping Lion and Growing Missile.






Fierceful Boulder made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Hoping Lion.
