The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Östersund today. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Narkissos Park took the lead after a very quick start. Blasting Beast quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Jolly Heat started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Tears Of Joy looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Tears Of Joy sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch. Surrey Opal won the race after a spectacular finish. Results
