One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Giant Dream took the lead after a very quick start.




Hard Technology was in fine shape and held the lead.




Stretching Whirlwind looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Équitable Voici couldn't come out from behind the leader, Giant Dream.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Giant Dream followed by L'amiral Mauzun and Hard Technology. Lane two Stretching Whirlwind followed by Équitable Voici and Strong Bullet.
