The weather had been good all week and Mantorp was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Di Centa could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Nessla Karelin quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Hoppla Galoppla who started to galop and lost 50 m.

The leader got disturbed by something and Make The Face took the lead rather easily.

Silly Fall accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.

With only a little left of the race Di Centa galoped for 30 m. Face Me was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. With only a little left of the race Westcoast Opal galoped for 10 m. Silly Fall sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Merret won. Silly Fall came in second. Make The Face caught third place.
