One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
The Contender took the lead after a very quick start. Jimmi Ehlers wanted a little to much in the start and Valiant galoped for 20 m.
The leader couldn't hold the lead and Valiant sprinted to the front.
Valiant was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.
Coca Cola Magpie saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Jolly Sunray started to gallop after 1500m and Olav Mikkelborg had to struggle to get it back in trotting.
Margrethe Magpie was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. The Contender litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.
